My Magical Trip to the Museum of Illusions
Last Sunday, I went on an exciting trip to the Museum of Illusions in Connaught Place, Delhi. I had heard so much about this place from my friends and finally got a chance to see it with my own eyes. It felt like stepping into a world where nothing is what it seems!
When we reached the museum, I was amazed even before entering. The walls had cool posters of mind-bending illusions. We bought our tickets and were given an hour to explore. The staff was very friendly and even helped us take pictures.
As soon as I entered, I saw the Ames Room. It was so funny! When my dad stood on one side, he looked like a giant, and when I stood on the other side, I looked tiny! We clicked so many photos here.
Next, we went into the Upside-down Room. This was my favorite! The furniture was fixed on the ceiling, so when we took pictures, it looked like we were walking on the roof. I felt like Spider-Man for a moment!
Then we stepped into the Vortex Tunnel. It was a spinning tunnel with lights, and even though the floor was straight, I felt like I was falling. My mom almost lost her balance, and we couldn’t stop laughing!
Another amazing spot was the Infinity Room. There were mirrors all around, and it looked like there was no end to the room. I waved my hand and saw endless copies of myself—like an army of me!
Apart from these, there were puzzles and brain teasers to try. There was also an Anti-gravity Room where balls rolled uphill and chairs looked tilted, but when I sat, I felt straight! It was really magical to see how our eyes and brain can be tricked so easily.
I learned that illusions are not just for fun—they are based on science, maths, and how our brain works. I realized how our eyes can sometimes fool us into seeing things that are not real.
Before we left, I bought a small illusion puzzle from the gift shop to show my friends at school. We took lots of pictures which I can’t wait to share in my class.
Overall, my visit to the Museum of Illusions was amazing, fun, and full of surprises. I would love to go there again and I recommend everyone to visit it at least once. Just remember to take your phone fully charged because you will click hundreds of photos!
