 My Fun Day at Connaught Place, Delhi

Last weekend, I went on an amazing trip to Connaught Place with my family. Connaught Place, also called CP, is one of the most famous and busiest places in Delhi. It is shaped like big white circles with lots of shops, restaurants, and things to see.

We reached Connaught Place around 11 AM. The weather was pleasant and the whole area looked so bright and lively. First, we took a small walk around the Inner Circle. I saw so many big brand showrooms and beautiful old buildings painted white. There were street vendors selling balloons, toys, and tasty snacks.

Our first stop was at Wenger’s, one of the oldest bakeries in Delhi. I had a yummy pastry and my parents had coffee and sandwiches. The smell of fresh cakes made my mouth water!

After that, we went shopping. I went to a big bookstore and bought a new storybook and a puzzle. My mom got some clothes and dad bought a pair of sunglasses. There were so many people shopping and enjoying with friends and families.

Then we went to Central Park, which is right in the middle of Connaught Place. I ran on the grass and watched the fountains. There were kids playing, people taking photos, and some people were sitting under trees and relaxing.

For lunch, we ate at a restaurant called Social. The food was super tasty! There were so many different restaurants to choose from—Chinese, Italian, North Indian, South Indian—everything!

I also ate variety of Kulfi from Kuremal's Kulfi. After lunch, we walked a bit more and did window shopping. We also saw some street artists making paintings and portraits. I wanted to get my face painted, but we didn’t have much time left.

Before going home, we stopped at an ice cream shop and enjoyed chocolate ice cream. Finally, we took some pictures near the big flag in Central Park. I was feeling tired but very happy.

I really loved my day at Connaught Place. It was full of fun, food, shopping, and so many new things to see. Next time, I want to visit the Madame Tussauds Museum and maybe watch a movie at one of the old cinemas there.

If you ever visit Delhi, don’t forget to visit Connaught Place! It is the heart of the city and you will have the best time.
